PS, I also love MASH >.>, and I commented on some of your fiction in another journal

[identity profile] fonulyn.livejournal.com 2008-01-30 11:22 pm (UTC)(link)
Sure you can^^ No problem. It's always nice to meet new people :) Just beware, I might not always be the most coherent person when updating my journal XD

[identity profile] fonulyn.livejournal.com 2008-01-30 11:24 pm (UTC)(link)
MASH the series or MASH the movie? hehe, I've never seen the series but the movie has my undying love!

[identity profile] majesticmedusa.livejournal.com 2008-01-30 11:30 pm (UTC)(link)
actually, I love both :)

[identity profile] majesticmedusa.livejournal.com 2008-01-30 11:30 pm (UTC)(link)
lol, me neither, its all good

[identity profile] fonulyn.livejournal.com 2008-01-30 11:35 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, maybe I should watch the series then once... But to me the movie is the original one so it annoys me the series has different actors XD

[identity profile] majesticmedusa.livejournal.com 2008-01-30 11:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I thought it was sort of weird too, but both casts are very funny. Alan Alda is the best (he plays Hawkeye ;) )

[identity profile] fonulyn.livejournal.com 2008-01-31 12:07 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, so he'd better be good since Hawkeye is my favorite XD Maybe partly because I love Donald Sutherland in general too x)

[identity profile] majesticmedusa.livejournal.com 2008-01-31 12:13 am (UTC)(link)
Hawkeye's my favorite in both, he's just a good charachater ;). Do you ever use IM?

[identity profile] fonulyn.livejournal.com 2008-01-31 12:19 am (UTC)(link)
He is!^^ I love how he has both this more adult AND the kind of childish side in him. IM? Not really. I'm on MSN pretty often though.

[identity profile] majesticmedusa.livejournal.com 2008-01-31 12:26 am (UTC)(link)
I love that too. I always laugh at Hawkeye's pranks and such :3. Add me on MSN if you ever wanna talk : miniaturemedusa@hotmail.com

yay... SENTENCED <3 <3 <3
Sorry, stumbled over your journal, and have to leave this comment

[identity profile] fonulyn.livejournal.com 2008-02-17 07:26 pm (UTC)(link)
No need to apologize! Sentenced needs all the love they can get :D It's so cool to see someone else who likes them too!

[identity profile] dooropener.livejournal.com 2008-02-17 07:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Like? I adore them, I can hear their songs over and over again, the Buried Alive DVD is brilliant, and I'm so sad about, that there is no possibility for me to see them live.
My only hope is, that there will be a third Poisonblack CD and a tour in Germany.

[identity profile] fonulyn.livejournal.com 2008-02-17 07:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Gosh, the DVD sure is awesome. I had the chance to see it already before it came out, in this preview thing and seen from a big screen it's even more brilliant! I only saw them play a live once though, at a festival even :/
Hm, I don't like Poisonblack as much as Sentenced, but they have some good stuff too though! And I think they'll become even better once they kind of figure out what they actually want to do with their band. The first two albums sounded a tiny bit like they were still searching.

I'm so jealous ^_^
You're absolutly right about Poisonblack, but I like the albums, especially the second one because of Ville and his vocals. The first is a bit too soft for me.
I'm curious too how the third CD may sound.
It's a shame that I may missed Sentenced and their music if on of my friends hadn't sold me "Down" because he didn't like it.

[identity profile] fonulyn.livejournal.com 2008-02-17 08:13 pm (UTC)(link)
*pats* Aw, but you can still see Poisonblack at least.
I like the second one more too, mostly due to Ville's vocals since he's totally just amazing! The first album sounded too much like Charon x) I do like them too, somewhat, but it still wasn't a good thing.
Me too! I have high expectations on it :D
heh, I got Crimson from a friend and after that I just fell in love XD

[identity profile] dooropener.livejournal.com 2008-02-17 08:25 pm (UTC)(link)
so we both felt accidently in love ^_~
Besides Dir en grey, because you obviousliy love them, what other music do you hear?
(I like Dir en grey too)

[identity profile] fonulyn.livejournal.com 2008-02-17 08:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah :D
Hm, besides Dir en grey and Sentenced I listen to for example Amorphis, Stone Sour, Kotiteollisuus, Apulanta... Some really random stuff actually XD Mostly rock and metal, but there is some 'lighter' music included as well :) What do you listen to then?

[identity profile] dooropener.livejournal.com 2008-02-17 09:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, I mostly into hard music too. (the order of the following bands is not important)
Blind Guardian, Savatage, Bullet for my Valentine, Iron Maiden, D:A:D, Evergrey, Hammerfall, Manowar, Metallica, Nightwish, Rammstein, System of a Down, The Cult, Déspairs Ray... and lots of other bands, but I don't want to spam.
On the lighter side, I like VAST, Loreena McKennitt and most of all the soundtracks of the Silent Hill Games (and some movie soundtracks too)

[identity profile] fonulyn.livejournal.com 2008-02-22 08:47 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, Rammstein, Metallica and Nightwish are totally awesome! I like Bullet for my Valentine too^^ It's just that I listen to so many bands that I tend to forget half of them when I try to build up a list XD At least Verjnuarmu and Viikate should be on my list too from the Finnish bands since they're awesome.

[identity profile] dooropener.livejournal.com 2008-02-22 09:43 pm (UTC)(link)
It's interesting, that Rammstein is heard in so many countries although there are only german lyrics. If you ever get the chance to see them live, take it. They are so great on stage.
I watched Bullet for my Valentine live in 2006...great to, but I missed them this year.
I checked out the two band you mentioned. Finnish lyrics are... interesting *lol* sound unusual to my ear, but besides those songs in finnish from Nightwish, I never heard finnish songs. But what the hell, I listen to Dir en Grey, saw them live last year, and I didn't understand more than four word in japanese *g*

[identity profile] fonulyn.livejournal.com 2008-02-24 08:10 pm (UTC)(link)
I've been wanting to see them live for ages now and if they come to Finland and I get the chance to see them I definitely will! I've studied some German so I understand partly what they're singing of at least XD But well, you don't need to understand the lyrics to like a band anyways^^

If you ever want anything from the bands I've listed above and I happen to have it, just tell me and I'm willing to share XD I love many Finnish bands that sing only in Finnish, and I think it's kind of a shame that they're not known outside Finland.

[identity profile] dooropener.livejournal.com 2008-02-25 11:16 pm (UTC)(link)
That's the same for me. Music is so much more than only the lyrics. Without understanding one word, a good singer could express so much feeling with his/her voice only, that there is no need to fully understand the text. You can feel what the song is all about.

If you can recommend me bands like Sentenced (not a copy, but a band who is capable of express something like them with this style of music), that would be great. I don't like Death Metal, well the music is okay, sometimes, but I don't like Death Grunts or endless screams like Cradle of Filth. But I willing to open my ears to new music.

[identity profile] fonulyn.livejournal.com 2008-02-27 03:42 pm (UTC)(link)
That's exactly how it is. If the song is really good, one can FEEL the meaning even without the lyrics. Although good lyrics is always a plus too XD Oh, and from the bands I mentioned before, Verjnuarmu actually has their lyrics in Savo dialect. It is close to 'normal' Finnish and probably hard to tell the difference if one doesn't know the language. But well, it sounds kind of funny even to us XD

Hm, when it comes to bands that are even remotely like Sentenced only Amorphis comes into my mind quickly. You familiar with them? Their lyrics have taken a lot of influence from Kalevala, the Finnish national epic, and I like their new singer a hell lot actually.
