Happy birthday, sunshine ♥


I know these birthday wishes are pretty much futile and the persons in question will never see them but maybe I am hoping that I can send some loving thoughts and good vibes all the way around the world this way. When there are enough people sending nice thoughts it's bound to be good for something, eh? And this man deserves all the love around. So yeah, happy birthday, from the bottom of my heart ♥

Besides, he's born in the same quality year as I am 8D

Also, on a less wonderful note, my grandmother is pretty weak nowadays. She is tired and her health is wavering and we're all worried. Plus there is a kind of a family-war going on between my aunt (+her kids) and my father (+granny +us) and it's all very complicated. Let's hope it turns out fine though.

I wanted to talk about the parliamentary elections too, but it'd mean I'd have to explain the whole Finnish political system first and I'm not that good XD Let's just say that the results were a huge surprise. Everyone knew to expect protest votes but to this extent? Basically we have four main parties now instead of three. In a way I think it's good. In a way... well, let's see.

Also, I got the monstrosity of a paper/essay/article done! \o/ Meaning that after some tweaking tomorrow I'm free from it! *cheers* I feel accomplished!

And now, sleep. I am exhausted. I'm hungry too. But sleep is more important XD

It was trending? Oh how cool! :D That makes me very happy too! ♥ He really deserves all the love he can get, that precious sunshine. and no I am not biased at all XD

Thank you ♥ She is old (turning 90 this year!) so it's understandable there are so many health issues, I think. Still, it's frustrating how one part of the family wants one thing and the other wants something else and no one makes compromises :/

Sorry to hear about your granny... But I hope she'll regain her strength soon! Urgh, and family wars. Thank God my family is too small to have that. (Save the war between Mom and Dad, but that's pretty much over, so... :D)

Urh, I hate protest votes. Protest votes got us a government no one wanted. What kind of party is so big now, then?

Hopefully! We'll have to see how it turns out. It's not a full-blown war really, considering we all are still on speaking terms XD But it's very awkward.

It's the party called something like "Real Finns" and basically they're against taking refugees (at least many of them) in Finland. Something like "Finland belongs to Finns". In a way I do agree with many things they say, but they're just such rednecks with many things too XD And please, please do not let their leader become our prime minister! *crosses fingers*

Hmmmm... doesn't sound like a very nice party to me. >_> Sounds a bit like the German Nazi parties... but it's probably nothing that bad, right?

It's that granny can't live by herself anymore and my aunt wants her into one of those homes for the elderly which are really not anything you'd wanna put your grandparents in x) While we're trying to go for another solution for it. And yeah.

They're not nazis, really. They just bring up all the problems that arise from the big amount of foreigners we need to accommodate in Finland. It is a problem yes. They're just a bit too... harsh about it at times. But they're the only party even talking about it so yeah.

Man hun, I am worried about your granny too. So that's the complications, eh. I thought about that when you mentioned it. Your family is just as sucky as mine in a way with parts hating each other. I hope things are working out the way that is best for your granny!

It is! :) Although if you ask me he is almost always cute XD and leopard print glasses, really? XD

Well, it's not really that anyone hates each other. When we saw my aunt on Friday she was all sunshiney and nice and I don't think she wants to cut all ties with us or anything. She's just ...not always thinking what she says and all. And it pisses me off how she says things that make granny sad. I understand she's tired too, but there are limits one doesn't cross. But yeah. We'll have to see what happens now. In any case granny won't be able to live alone for much longer.

I'm really so sad for your grandmother. I fear there's a time when you have to rely on others and can't live alone, but it's sad after so many years in that house...
Make all the time for her you can hun. You know it's precious and I am sure it'll cheer her up.

It is. And of course the time comes when one can't live alone anymore. It's just that she's insanely afraid of these old peoples homes (and I can't blame her) so we're looking into other options. I'll probably visit her during the weekend again. I'm going home tomorrow anyway :)

I always hated leopard print XD It's not for me! But somehow Mimi manages to make even that look good surprisingly often XD
